"I've lived in Berkeley for over 40 years and know that Berkeley can be a better place to live. we have the most impact locally and we should start our efforts there."
"I want to work on projects and campaigns where my skills can make a difference. I've always felt that DFA was the sort of place that individual initiative could create the group enegy to make change happen."
this group offers people interesting information presented in a collegial environment. we hear that a lot as people leave the meet-up "wow this is not like any other group I attend". that's what keeps me interested in working on the agenda and the nuts and bolts. a lot of thought goes into how we discuss the information and how the meet-upers will be able to interact with the speakers and both present their view point and clarify issues that were raised.
