Meetup with Oakland DFA Meetup and East Bay for Democracy -- a grassroots community catalyzed by Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign. The Oakland DFA Meetup leverages the lessons of the Dean movement to empower progressives by providing inspiration, information, training and opportunities for action. Working together, we exercise our power to revitalize our communities and governments by participating in political and social action networks and providing support for progressive candidates and causes.
