A Whip Count event, gathering DFA supporters in the Honor of our sorely missed Liberal Lion. An event where we his cubs gather to bare our own teeth and sharpen our claws against the forces of opposition within our own party that are trying to bring down the public option and compromise the legislation that is sure to have Ted Kennedy as its namesake. It is up to us to ensure that that is not a cruel and ironic joke played on someone no longer around to defend his legacy, a legacy of progressive reform and legislation and a proud liberal when that was a lonely position to bare.

Lets come together to try and remind our own Seantors Lugar and Bayh about the legacy of the Kennedy's and their impact here in Indiana, and lets do it at a monument that bears their name, the Kennedy King monument. Senator then Governor Bayh was there at its dedication, and his father was a true liberal supporting everything from single payer to ending pay discrimination for women. Liberals need not apologize for accomplishments!
