It all depends on what we each do now.

The Seattle group has the possibility of becoming a nexus for a wide range of progressive activists to meet and share tactics, goals, and information. If the size continues to grow it will need to become something more than a group who meet to discuss things openly.

The group seemed to lack a cohesiveness of purpose. Everyone had their ideas, and mostly those ideas were similar, shared, and supported by the group. But I didn't get any idea of what the next action should be. There doesn't seem to be a willingness to work with other established groups, particularly the Democratic Party. If that's the group's purpose, to get away from the party, that's perfectly fine and there are a lot of very talented and motivated people there who can surely accomplish that. This reflects my personal plan to work with the Democratic Party to engage, organized, and motivate all the supporting groups. It is not a criticism of the group last night if they have a different purpose.

It desperately needs direction, but then I'm an action-oriented person. I don't intend to return. There's a group in my neighborhood, but they decided not to meet in November so I decided to check this group out.
