Who organized?

Our regular monthly Albuquerque DFA-DFNM Meetup will be a get-together to celebrate our primary victories (and commisserate over losses), come together to unify for all the work that will be needed to win in November and just hang out talking about progressive politics while sharing refreshments.

We'll be inviting some of the candidates and folks from the campaigns and and other groups that will be working hard to elect Democrats this year, but this Meetup is mostly about celebrating and sharing our thoughts. And motivating for the work we must do in the months to come if we want to turn New Mexico Blue, Blue, Blue!

Hope to see you there!

    •  It was good to savor some victories after we've worked so long in the cause. Hard to believe that the original Meetup started in 2003 and the present version in 2004. I think we all have a lot to proud of. And more work to do!
    •  It was good that some of the successful candidates were able to attend. I look forward to hearing from more of them in the future. Inviting the various groups to speak gives those who are looking for a way to get involved other options.
    •  The meeting started late. The speakers, for the most part, were boring and out-of-touch. Lots of talk of bringing youth to the meetings, but no way to engage those folks. I am in my 40s and I thought the participants were old in their thinking. I was very disappointed and will think twice about coming back.

We'd never attended this group and we're extremely impressed with the quality and professionalism of the speakers. The topic of the illicit war in Iraq and how Congress and the military are working together to motivate the people for change is something my husband and I are very interested in at this time. This meeting was a welcome surprise; a wake up call for all of America! Thank you ABQ Democracy for America, Marsha and Carl Johansen
    •  We covered a lot of ground including hearing from winning candidates and those commited to working for wins in November. Lots of enthusiasm.
    •  We owe apeakers respect when they have the floor and not interrupt them. Only Barbara should (interrupt) if they are talking for too long.
