  • The ABQ Democracy for America-Democracy for NM Meetup Group

The more involved grassroots progressives out there, the more chance we have of making real change. We need to increase the number of younger activists who attend. We older folk do vote and get involved, but we need to be training and exciting the next generation to be involved, especially on the local level - that's where the new leadership will develop.

Terrell Wexler on Dec 4, 2008.

DFNM (including its fantastic website) is THE central clearing house for NM Progressive Democrats. If you are looking for any grassroots mover & shaker on the first Thursday of every month, she/he will be at the DFA-DFNM Meetup. P.S. I agree with Nancy Denker about identifying ourselves...particularly as we've grown. -Lynn Jacobs

loved the mix of politics, policy and analysis. ending with the GOTV work was a great idea. Also got a lot of value out of the announcements, really offers a way to connect people, ideas and events.

  • The ABQ Democracy for America-Democracy for NM Meetup Group

We're glad we attended and will attend again. Participants need to abide with the "rules" and respect each other's right to speak in turn. It was obvious that many participants had their own agenda and wanted to spend time on it.

It is great to see a good turnout during the summer of so many committed people. I wish I had seen some young college students. Some students must be local.

It’s nice to see that Democracy for NM joined forces with Terry Riley’s group. It appears that the three of you, Maryellen, Barb, and Terry, work very well together. All three of you deserve an huge pat on the back! Great job!!

  •  The "usual" very rude people who carried on their own conversations among themselves made it very difficult to hear the already projection-challenged speakers. I can't understand why these rabel-rousers can't GROW UP and SHUT UP.
