Hi everyone,

My name is Liliya, and I'm an avid Obama fan.

Over the past nine months we've been developing a project to reach out to young voters (18-25 year olds) who aren't a part of traditional political climates like the one I experienced as a college student in the late 90's.

Back then I was filled with emotion as I participated in my first election, helping re-elect Bill Clinton to a second term in office. I knew then that my voice, and my vote, was important, did matter, and did count.

And I know that today, many kids in the U.S. don't feel this way.

Barack Obama is running a campaign that hinges on registering record numbers of new voters in battleground states. I've learned that the demographic most apt to step up and vote when called upon is (surprise!) young voters. And, I've discovered a group of amazing, socially-conscious young people from an artist development workshop called The Microphone Sessions who are willing to step up and tell young America why their voice matters in this election.

Our dream is twofold: 1. Capture the powerful message of The Microphone Sessions on film and utilize it to inspire millions of young Americans to vote for their first time. 2. Elect Barack Obama.

We're selling T-shirts at ShirtsForObama.com, which you can access by clicking on the following link: http://www.shareasale... and we're donating 30% of our proceeds to this project. And for those of you who can stretch a bit more, we're also taking donations. Please buy a shirt, please donate what you can, and together let's help youth speak to youth about why it's important to vote. To make one's voice heard. To believe that Hope and Change aren't just words, they're ways of life.

Thanks to each and every one of you for helping us make this happen.

Yours truly,

Liliya Koynashka
