As Barack Obama stated in his Inaugural Address, there are great challenges facing America. This month's Meetup is devoted to discussing two challenges that definitely should not fall under the radar of most Americans.

First, access to clean water is something we generally take for granted in America. Turn on the tap, and it's there. But there are forces in the world that wants to limit the average person's access to water to that person's ability to pay through the nose...and that's not the worst part of the problem. Vicki Lee of the Sierra Club Water Privatization Task Force will talk about the burgeoning water privatization crisis and some of the people fighting back.

Then, how will America deal with the Bush Administration's torture legacy? There are those politicos and news pundits who claim America should move on in the interest of the future. Then there are those who feel that if America is not willing to hold our leaders accountable for highly unethical and potentially criminal actions, then for what actions will the American people hold their leaders accountable?

The panel's title is "Will Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld Ever Be Tried For War Crimes?" Participants are Ann Fagan Ginger of the Meiklejohn Civil Liberties Institute, Anne Weills of Siegel & Yee, and Gerald Gray of Survivors International.

So come to this month's Meetup and hear about serious issues your local McNews outlet might dismiss.
