Welcome to SLC's Democracy for America. So, I saw your note that you are new to the area and looking to join some groups with like-minded folks (a reason most of our members have for joining).
We meet every first Wed. of the month and right now we're involved in trying to get out the vote for Utah's presidential primary. Another group you may be intersted in is Drinking Liberally--they meet every Friday night and they are a lot of fun.
