At Harpreet's House...

Publicity - postcards are at my house (1001 Elm Court, El Cerrito) and
Nagaraja's house - 4724 Castilla Ave. Richmond. Plus, I'll bring them
to the Central Committee meeting on Thursday night and try to get
William and Rick to take some. These must be distributed widely!

We are meeting at Harpreet's on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11:30 am. We have
to have a stage manager. Here is the order of the program so far:

1:30 Jimi Hendrix Star Spangled Banner - music only. (They don't have
digital projection capacity at the Knox Center.)
1:35 Harpreet brief welcome and introduce De Anza Steppers
1:40 De Anza Steppers (confirmed)
1:50 Welcome and introduce Sen. Figueroa - Harpreet
1:55 Sen. Figueroa introduces Culture Shock (need bio info)
2:00 - 2:30 Culture Shock Hip Hop (Music from CD they will bring) -
confirmed
2:30 - Politicians recognized, Wilma to speak
2:40 - spoken word (Still need to get - trying from someone from Laotian
Community Center; if not, Hilary will try to get Lungsan Louie)
2:50 - Sen Figueroa speak and then introduce Harpreet to speak on West
County UDC; drawing
3:05 - Sen. Figueroa to introduce Dr. Loco - play to 4:00 (need bio info
for Dr. Loco)
4:00 - Sen. Figueroa wrap it up

We have to be OUT OF THERE by 5:00 at the latest and need to clean up,
so can't go much past 4:00 with our show.

Things we need to organize:
Greeter for performers, interface with JR at the Knox (Andres? Arturo?
You two seem to understand what the performers' needs are the best -esp
the band) Also, need to help with sound check and stage set up
Food and drink for performers in green room?
Reception - when and what to serve? Any $100 tix sold? If not, don't
need reception
Tickets - will call;
Ushers - make sure they get tix for drawing
We need to have a table in the lobby for the WCCCUDC -
What does Sen. Figueroa need?
Also, sell sell sell tix. I'll bring them to the Central Committee
meeting on Thursday.
